You will need a boost controller which normally comes as part of a package with a chip etc. Try Croydon motorsports in sydney (they're the only turbo people I know of, sorry!)

I have a mate at work who just got a turbo boost control for his WRX. The standard WRX does not have variable boost, but his does now. There are many different types depending on what you want - some with 2, 3 or 4 settings, some with totally adjustable settings - it's all a matter of $$. I wouldn't think you'd need to up the boost by much to get a good increase in power from the XR6T though - maybe 8 or 10 PSI?

Also, try looking on www.fordxr6turbo.com. Lots of useful info there! (Hope this is an affiliated site - sorry if it's not)

also heard changing to a more free flowing exhuast, and changing to a bigger intercooler would automatically up the boost?

Talk to Rob Herrod, he is/has developed a kit for XR6T to enhance the performance. Be aware that the drivetrain is reportedly the weak link and if you go modding it too much you will probably break gearboxes and diffs.

I thought you could not wind up boost yet due to it retarding af ratio's and also having a complicated ecy to deal with?
