Theres a thread around here somewhere which said some people are not real happy with the times the cappa kits produce. I think it's under 500kw xr9 in the gregory's forum.

it would be benifical to ask them to post time slips to verify claimed figures
SYLOX
ask Street tuner as he has run the CAPA car for them, he shold have the time slips

Well, we have an XR8 sedan that is proven to run at least 400kW and a 12.5 odd second run. Look at Motor mag for the details.
On the issue fo people unhappy with their kits I'd caution that these setups require different driving styles much like a turbo car in some ways. I haven't put any miles on mine as yet so I'm going gentle but I can only say my 290 engine felt VERY slow compared to the blown XR8 260 I rode in before I bought my kit.
When you buy a blower kit (say the CAPA Stage 2) you need to truly factor in an aftermarket computer such as TSI. For the 260 engine I'd very much recommend the following shopping list items:
- kit $7995
- fuel pump upgrade $400 (don't get ripped by CAPA on this one)
- TSI or similar $2000 fully tuned
I'd also very much recommend staying at 8psi and then concentrating on flow from that. Sintered metal conrods in Boss engines do not like high boost as at least three owners have found so far. It makes sense that if you can run mid 12s with a N/A engine, you should be able to get great results running 50% more intake potential!
