Re: Boost

i'd like to twin turbo or supercharge the NC, but it wont happen for a long time though, im hoping to start gathering some parts together and build up a turbo EA to learn about turboing before i go "big picture" and do the NC build.

so yeah, thats where i am at the moment, i'd so love to have a TTV8, but the cost would be way to high for me within the next year, maybe sometime next year if im lucky

Re: Boost

I'm starting to plan a single turbo conversion for either my EF, or an XF 6cyl shitbox, just in planning and researching stages atm, but should be good when its finished

Re: Boost

I'm tossing up a few ideas right now.

1; Stop modding the Fairmont, piss it off for a 5.0 ED Fairmont once prices drop a bit
2; Mod the hell out of the Fairmont, without blowing it
3; Keep the Monty as she is and buy a 351 XB coupe/XD to play with

Most likely option two though.

option 1 sounds tempting, but unless your gonna work the 8 a bit i wouldnt bother changing. just go with no.2.

Re: Boost

i picked option 4 eddie - at the moment i cant justify spending 5k or more on a turbo, when i still owe about 4500 bucks on the car, and once i turbo that there is no way in hell i would get insurance...

and i dont earn enough to keep the damn thing properly shod as it is - twice the power at the treads would see me going through rear tyres and confiscations faster than a posse of GTSt driving lebanese :)

Re: Boost

hey not all us lebos are phyco's, just majority of us! i would love to turbo my ea which i was going to start building by the end of the year, but the way that my wallet looks i dont think that i will be for a long time. im also going the straight gas system and am thinking of getting it engineered. just so i have no hassles with cops.

Re: Boost

Hmm well im planing to drop the EA idea all together..sorry fellas.

I find it funny though that to the best of my memory, Walkinshaw was the only bloke bothering with turbo unitl the XR6T came along. But as long as fords are going fast then thats all that matters. :)
