NAPARM Now boostless :-( Join Date: Feb 2002 Location: Northern NSW Age: 30 Posts: 695	Fitting blower - does compression need to be lowered? Hi, i'm currently looking at buying an AU (4.0) with a supercharger. When the blower was fitted the compression wasn't lowered - is this likely to cause any problems? Is it always necessary to lower the compression when putting a blower on?

No not nesssessary so long as fuel and advance curve is correct.Usually over 10 Lp boost the compression needs to be lowered.Generally..
