im thinkin of running nos on my car but not till i get a full rebuild if i run a 150hp shot of nos on a stock ef 5.0L on a system where the nos boosts up as rpm goes up this cant really hurt thr motor can it and what normally tends to give way or break first. And as im thinkin of chcking it on a reco motor for the time being would the diff and box suffer to much from the 150hp nos, if it says starts at 25hp at 2500rpm then goes up from there

iif you are doing 15.5 you should drop down to 14.0 with a 150 shot.
(100shot of gas =1 sec,if everything is right)but this does not allways work out.if i was putting it on a reco motor i would not put anymore then 100shotof nos as you can cause damage, anymore then that and you want to have better pistons.as for damage you can melt piston ,bend rods, blow head gaskets, etcjust make sure you have more fuel to cope with the gas, colder plugs, back timming of,etc hopr this helps
Be very careful with NOS on std engines, especailly in late model falcon 302's. New a guy that ran 100HP shot on a stock au1 xr8 and blew the thing sky high. It hit the rev limiter, and as the eec cuts fuel at the limiter, the thing kept pumping more nos, and not enough fuel. And guess what happened next. They could only identify 5 pistons when they pulled it down.
NOS is a good thing in the right place, but is not designed for std engines. I would definatlely recommend forged pistons and good rod bolts as an absolute minimum.
But have fun anyways.

Sorry TTNOS8, i worded that badly, NOS does not blow up engines, all it does is increase the ability for the engine to consume fuel. I did not mean it to come out that way.
As for not sitting on the limiter, this guy is a bit of a cowboy, and has more money than sense, and thinks if your on the limiter you are getting max power out of your engine. I dont think he has ever seen a dyno graph.

in the ford manual for my ef it reads that it makes peak power at 4200 odd revs but it revs till 5500 at red, so i hardly ever get it to 4500 let alone 5500 just that it sounds like its workin to hard and ive only been driving for a month

oh and as for nos im not really caring to much on the motor part as its only for fun just was more worried about driveline and box and that. but it all helps
