Noz

As posted in a brievious thread I have a leaking head gasket and will be repairing it. I was just wondering if there is a head stud kit or NOZ kit available for an EF XR6 so I may be able to bolt noz on?

Re: Noz

Yes I am aware I can bolt "nitros" onto anything, but I was wondering whether there was an high compression stud kit or the likes available for the EF 6 to accomodate for higher performance engines?

Re: Noz

LOL
Incase you are wondering: head studs allow a higher torque setting to hold the head down, then normal head bolts.

Re: Noz

Yeah I know that mate, just havin a bit of fun.

There arent any aftermarket studs I have heard of, but I have heard of people using the AU head bolts as they do not weaken as much as the earlier ones were reknowned for.

First place I would check would be ARP, see if they have any.

Good luck with your search

Re: Noz

There would be stud kits available for the EF6. As above, probably try ARP and the likes.

I don't really know why you would want the stud kit for more tension though?

Nitrous dosen't neccessarily require more tension on the head studs, I'd be looking at spending my $$ on other more worthy safety aspects in the engine.

Just my 2.2cents worth inc GST

Re: Noz

I would also look at the insurance side of things as well as NOS being illegal in many states, including mine god dam it
