I was just wondering if the intercooled blower manifold off of the SVT lightning would fit onto our BOSS motors? And also how much different are the pulley setups on the american motors than ours in relation to the blower drive setup?

I doubt the manifolds would fit because we are using different heads and therefore port spacing.

I'm fitting a lightning blower and throttle body to a clevo....
When the 2006 Lightning comes out it'll be a no-brainer on the Boss, the 06 Lightning is a quad cam 5.4 like the Boss...
How much does suburban ask for their blowers?
I might have a Lightning intercooler that I don't need...
I wouldn't have thought I'd would be too massive a job to modify a lightning lower intake to fit the boss motors... Perhaps modding a 03/04 SVT Cobra manifold to suit the taller deck 5.4 would be easier....
Those eatons are good for 500rwhp when ported & pullied.... funny thing is the NOS kits give close to Double the HP boost on the blown motors... the massive drop in intake charge temps makes a huge HP difference... there are guys getting numbers close to 700rwhp with a ported and pullied eaton and a 100hp NOS shot (they give 500ish rwhp without the NOS...)

I looked at the lightning lower manifold for my Boss, but the intake ports are different. Not to say it couldn't be modified, but in itself was going to be a hell of a task.

I decided to use the original intake runners of the Boss. I purchased another one from Ford, as I had enough work cut out for me as it was, without trying to match the intake/injector ports!
If I didn't care about the motor hanging out the top of my bonnet, I't would be finished already. I must say, it did look awsome when I fit it up just to see what it looked like!

I'm trying to get it finished before the Spring Nats, but it takes time! For those of you who have fabricated manifolds in the past, you know of the amount of work and man hours of machining required to produce the goods.

Rod..... I'm more excited than you to get this all happening, and what makes it worse is you go out and get great times while I'm flat out in the shed after work nearly each day. Do you realize all your doing is teasing me!!! Stay home for awhile fella!!!!!!

Relax, you have plenty of time as the Ute wont be hitting the track for quite some time unless Mark or My other half are going to give it a burl as i am not going to run it anymore, i have bigger fish to fry :fly:
