Alright.... I have a 97 taurus G 3.0 OHV. Im looking to increase its performance. right now im working with stock cold air intake, k&n filter, and one of those tornado things (mainly for gas mileage, but it does increase low end power a bit) I know its probably not at all worth it, but buying a new car, or trading this one in is out of the question. are there any turbos or s/c's out there that will work? and also No2? ive seen universal 35-100 hp kits out there that dont require rebuilding the engine to make it stronger. would it be worth it? any other ideas to make the car faster, or at least lighter? Im working with a very limited budget, but please let me know any options in any price range, im willing to save.

The rods and transmissions are not up forced induction!!! You could fit a turbo on low boost but the expence and what you get out of it due to weak trans and rods in motor isn't realy worth it...Especially when you say your budget is tight...
Then I'd say good tune, service, exhaust and good set of wheels.Some suspention mods like stiffer, lower springs and some nice firm shock absorbers, maybe stiffer rear sway bar ???

i would say extractors, exhaust, chip... thats about all ya can do to an engine without starting to spend too much money.....(well all i can think of)

Extractors? as in like exhaust manifold type stuff, or are you talking about something different (im kinda a newb to some stuff)

I think you guys call them headers over there ??.. Yes good flowing exhaust.....
2 " single exhaust with straight through mufflers...Talk to your local exhaust shop...
