Re: supercharger switch?

I assume your talking about the SC-14 charger. It works like Air Con, it has a clutch that can be activated. A bypass valve flows air around it when it is off.

Re: supercharger switch?

Wouldnt bother with them though - they are pretty small and not gonna do much for a 6cylinder.
how much was this kit costing?

Re: supercharger switch?

Basically a clutch driven supercharger. Baby version of the Mad Max idea.

Re: supercharger switch?

Dunno - $1800 is a fair bit for a supercharger which you can pick up for $250 from almost ANY wrecker (I was looking around when I had a 2.4L efi Corona) You might be able to just get the pulleys from them; and possibly the bracket to hold the supercharger, and get the whole lot done for a little over $1000 if you did it yourself I reckon

you should do it and really see just how much it really costs !
That $1880 includes some money for development !
plus the blower gets a going over ! so it is not a $250 blower anymore !

everyone talks without knowing the stories behind it !

sorry to have a whinge but i hate it when people think.. oh it's so easy !

If it was easy everyone would do it.

$1800 bucks is for the full kit....I don't think you would get a complete developed/tested kit from your local Jap wreckers for $250 ; )

Pretty bloody cheap upgrade for a crappydore if you ask me. Ive been trying to talk my mate into one for towing his boat.

Re: supercharger switch?

they actually go pretty good . they only cost 2k so don't perform like a 6k vortech but are great for towing
