supercharging a 408 windsor

ive got a 408 windsor that produces about 550hp and im wanintg to place a supercharger under the bonnett, does anyone know wat type i shulld get or who i should contact

You'll probably need to look at things like compression/cam specs/ignition etc before you just bolt a blower on. A genuine 550hp small block is a pretty stout piece, so I bet you'll need to make some changes. I'm using a YS Vortech on my 398 Windsor, and I'm happy with it.

Cobra YS-Vortech, 74/28 cog, 24"x12"x4.5" intercooler, SVO N-351 block, SVO A-410 crank, Crower 6.25" billet rods, JE 8.5:1 pistons, 96lb/hr's, 90mm Accufab, MoTeC M800 sequential, MSD Digital 6, Powerglide, 35 spline 9", 17x11" Racing Harts.

XY Fairmont 460, Powerglide, 31 spline 9"

AU111 XLS 5.0 V8 Ute - 18x9" wheels 255/35/18 Falkens

yeah changing most of the engine specs. have you ran toy car down the quater yet??? how much power does it make?? ive also got a powerglide and 31 spline axels....sounds like a similar setup.

The plastic one has only had a "toe in the water" run at Willowbank. I had two runs in full street trim. It ran 11.1 @ 130mph. I just eased it down the track - the datalogging showed that I hit full throttle about 1 second before the finish line... I'm lining up some sticky tyres, so we'll see what happens. I'll be disappointed if I can't run 140+
