If you need money it's simple really, just work out how much you use in a fortnight for:
Rent (Me $165 a f/n)
Food ($100 f/n)
Bills ($40 f/n)
Petrol ($60 f/n - I got a leadfoot!!!)
Weekend/social ($10 each weekend)
Savings for Insurance/Registration/Service (Appx $50 f/n)
You'll find out that you really do have plenty of money left over and don't have to worry about the big rego bill when it comes out when you've already saved up for it.
I have my 2nd bank account in which I throw in all my fortnight 'left over' money... it's slowly growing but it's appreciating to see it grow.
But... living in caravan parks and living in your own car... it's sad, really.
Another thing I forgot to mention that was brought up by boost in another post is forking out $$$$ for the engineers certificate. The guy I know paid a little over $3000.
Phil, $60 a fortnight for Petrol? And you drive with a leadfoot!!! WTF, you obviously don't do many k's man. My fuel bill is like $60-$70 a week. That's with normal sort of driving, not like granny, but not like Schumacher either.
