Turbo Selection

Can anybody tell me differences between these turbos. Which one's would be to suit a mild boost I6 and which ones for high boost. What gains can be made from hybrids and is it a matter of fitting new housings or do you need to fit different shafts and impellers.

TD04L
TC06
T25
T25G
GT25
T28
T45
T03
T04E
T04D
T04B
RX7 SERIES 1 TURBO
SERIES 2
SERIES 3
SERIES IV
SERIES V
GT25/30

And does anyone know how effective a T03/T04 hybrid would be. Do you just put a t04 exhaust housing on a t03 or do you need to change the guts off it as well.Does any car have a suitable turbo as a factory option. Cheers for the help.

Re: Turbo Selection

The best cheap non hybrid option would be to get a 2nd TO4E hand truck turbo. There are heaps of different sizes to choose from although this would not be the best choice compared to aftermarket it will still work ok.

Re: Turbo Selection

I believe you should have a look at the Volvo trucks, the NC12 or NC14. The NC14 I think is a TA45 (very big). Try to keep to Garret due to the ease and range of parts. Ask Dynamic Turbochargers they should have some idea of the turbo to look for.
