Okay i'm leaning towards a single setup. I want to run fairly low boost to begin 4-6 psi or there abouts. Current compression and probable lack of intercooler at stage 1 is reason for this.
What turbo would you recommend? I have about 2500-2800 stall converter and a cam that has power peak at 5500rpm and the car is revved to 6200 for gear change. This will be a budget type setup! Also best way to fabricate exhaust manifold to turbo. I'm assuming this is the local exhaust shop but suggestions are appretiated. Approx costs would be great too in known. thanks All.

Single T04 turbo setup would be about right, any you will be looking at about $1k for the manifolds. You won't have to rev the engine anywhere near 6000rpm as the turbo will produce tons of power down low. You will really want to run a full aftermarket computer as Unichips/Chiptorque setups really can't handle it with a turbo windsor setup. Don't think you will get away with not running an intercooler but I could be wrong.

The chiptorque chip should be okay for 4-6 psi. I have fingers crossed about intercooler. I'll be using 36 or 40 lb injectors and Lochlan recons it will be fine till i turn up the boost which is a low comp rebuild and stage 3 in my plan.

Which t04 should i look at? Ar's?

$1k for manifold! Where? exhaust shop? I asume i'll need to buy turbo first so as to get the fange shape right!

Hows your s/c setup going? I'm really hanging to find out the results!

The problem is that I have been told that tons of timing needs to be pulled from the low and mid rpm range which the chiptorques cannot handle. Even with full aftermarket computers, turbo windsors seem to love blowing head gaskets, you just have to tune it really well. Manifolds can be made up through some exhaust shops or contact EBXR8240.

My supercharger should be done this weekend fingers crossed. Still have to get my new exhaust welded up then a few more little things before I start her up. All things going well it will be on the dyno late next week.

An intercooler shouldnt be too expensive. 500 or less if u get someone to put end-tanks on a used core. This is definitely doable, a friend has done it with a VS Commy. As EDXR8 said, its the tuning that will make or break your setup. I wouldnt skimp on good ECU, which puts your project above 1000 with ease.
