I am looking at getting a supercharger for my AU1 fairmont ghia 5.0l V8, does anyone have some advice on which supercharger would suite. I like something that is not quiet.

V2 SQ as is "Super Quiet"

V1 has the straight cut gears....i.e. lots of supercharger whine

Supercharger whine = police attention

I have a V2-SQ and it is still easily audible, I was told some are nearly silent while others you can still hear. V1's are fairly noisy, the whine at idle is quite loud but goes away once above 1000rpm.

Beats me when they call the V2 quiet. It's not like you can say hey mr cop it's stock when they whine like that can you?????

i think in relation to a pd blower it is quiet. not having a gilmer belt saves on some noise, but u sacrafice pully grip. after 1300rpm u dont here my V2sq , but at idle its quite loud. I love the noise any time 10 GRAND well spent.

notes: go for the bigger injectors ,get ur chip localy ,it hard to go to SA for tuning.
if u can afford it ger a intake charge cooler, blower to crank brace .
