2000 Focus codes, HELP PLEASE?!?!?! - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have a 2000 ford focus that will lose power when driving at normal op temperature. The diagnostic codes are

P0302 Cyl 2 Misfire

P0442 Evap Emission Control center- small leak

P0171 System to lean Bank 1

Now I know you guys out there know what would cause these 3 things to happen. Please let me know asap. Thanks all and have a wonderful day!!!

Here are my thoughts. If the system is lean, chances are you are having problems with getting adequate fuel supply during ignition, which may cause problems with mis-fires as well. My guess is that you have a fuel supply leak or a bad injector. See if you can get a diagnostic done by the dealer to see what's up. Chances are, the more codes you have, the more likely you are to find the problem. If you are more of a do-it-yourselfer kinda guy, checkout OBDII Software, Vehicle Diagnostics Software
