Cobra Kid

Greetings, I am building a replica Cobra. I have fitted a 92 NC Fairlane 302 EFI engine (EB1) which was auto and is now manual and I am using the auto computer and have fitted a BAP along with the MAF. I have managed to get the engine going, but when it starts, it runs at near 2000rpm and it takes quite a while to drop down to about 800-900 RPM. I have adjusted the throttle sensor to its minimum, that is about 0.81V. I can't get it any lower. I have no air leaks(I think) and every time I give it a rev, it idles real high and runns real rough whilst it is coming back down to idle, which is taking far too long. Any ideas would be of great help. Thanks in advance

this might be a long shot but is the throttle cable the right length? is the return spring on the throttle body installed properly

tried resetting the IAC?
reset & slot the TPS holes to enable you to get the 0.7v
disconnect the iac wire, start engine & let it settle( dont touch the throttle at all.)
Adjust the idle screw to obtain the desired rpm. Turn off key & reconnect lead.
Also check to see if iac is blocked. Remove it from the egr spacer clean with carb cleaner use you lil finger & make sure the valve spool thingy moves freely.
