'99 windstar Alternator problem?
Hi there,
I have a '99 windstar that has some kind of battery charging problem. I'm trying to troubleshoot the alternator and I have some weird readings on the voltmeter: engine off, I have 12.2V on the battery and with engine running, 13.3V (seems a little low).
When probing the alternator "I" terminal, key turned ON (with the engine NOT running) I have 8.8V (I read somewhere it should be 1V).
Wiring or alternator?
I already have replaced my alternator last year, I don't really feel like repeating the experience...
