adding interior lights

Hello i would like to add 2 more interior lights in my escort can i just attached em to the door switch and can i add a switch to each wire of the added on lights so they can be turned off and on aswell.

Yes...but. Remember the door switch is the earth side so if you put the new lights between the wire after you cut it the new lights will go on and off with the doors opening and closing. If you add switches they will work for the existing and new lights. Essentially you can't use the wire to the switch to have interior lights that work independently from the existing ones (which I suspect is what you want).

Get a 3 position switch so one side goes to the door switch and the other is "on" (like normal interior light switch).
