I am looking at getting a new air-con compressor after the original blew the front seal when it was converted to R134a. I have been told by a wrecker that they would need to check the number on the compressor to identify if it (a new one) is compatable with the engine (i guess ). Now what I need to know is what are these numbers? Which of those numbers are compatable with an EB2 Nov. build(see sig)? And do I need to get under my car and get it's number, or are they all the same over a period?

Well I have found the answer to my own question

The falcons used 1 type of air-con compressor from 89 till early 92. Then used another type from then until late 93. Didn't get anymore info than that as it was all that I needed.
