air conditioning and ef's

i heard that the ef's and el's are designed not to use more petrol when the air conditioning is on, is this true?

I don't see how this is possible, nor have I heard the same thing myself. Perhaps someone else will be able to shed more light on this matter.

nah mate, my EF used drink it by the bucket loads because I always had my air con on. noticed a big difference when ever i didn't run it in winter.

Er, to add a note here, my car has no noticable difference with the air con on at all....

The difference in a trip between Wagga to Sydney and back to Wagga was a total of about 1 or 2 bucks (over 70 bucks worth of fuel)

Unless that's a big difference to some, but for the extra comfort, it's worth it to me....

on the freeway u dont notice the difference to much
city and normal driving you do .

$70, poor non lpg people ! :)
