Hi I have a 94 Futura which has developed a flashing airbag light since I got my aircon fixed. It flashes the code 33 does anyone know what this code stands for and how to stop it flashing?

Re: airbag code

Hi
If your car is an EF, Code 33 means there's a high resistance or an open circuit in the resistor or the wiring loom going to the airbag module. There's an actual resistor (2.2 ohms) in the wiring loom, either that's open circ.(never seen one so far), or the wiring loom has corrossion at the air bag module connector pins (very common), or the module itself is gone (seen a few). To do ANY of these checks you need to disconnect the battery and wait AT LEAST a couple of minutes. After you fix this you'll probably get another code, if it's a high number (from 52 up) let me know and I'll explain how to clear it. Cheers
