I got a ef which currently has a stock steering wheel with an airbag, is there anyway I can disconnect the airbag and put a sports wheel on it as ive found one I really like. Can I just take the stock wheel off and d/c the airbag or will I get errors due to my ECU ??

I dont think your car will get a RWC if you disconnect it. Over here cars dont pass inspections without airbags if they are meant to have them. And besides what about the safety factor???

probably wont work as the ECU checks the airbag system every time the car starts, and 'arms' it if you get me.

That and there's no way it'll pass RWC. If there's an airbag there now, it's gotta be there no matter what.

Ive been told you can get defected for not having the airbag steering wheel if the car came with them. Plus wouldnt you loose the cruise control function?

you can change the outer rim, to a momo AU one, off a T-series or XR, colours like silver, red and blue, which still use the factory air bag.

No way in N.S.W will it pass pink slip with out an airbag buddy, and if you have an accident you will not be covered by insurance, just change the trim of the wheel man plus safety comes first

and fitted to a new steering wheel then re-activated
