frown AU Fairmont Trip Computer Lights

The climate control/trip computer dash is playing up. Sometimes it only displays half of the numbers and then it comes good.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what needs to be repaired or replaced?

Cheers,

Ford is aware of the problem. If you can take it back to them and demonstrate it, you will be given a replacement free of charge.

Oh, and price for new Dash Strip (you have to buy the whole bit, cant just get the screens), is $1789, not inc. fitting.

Re: AU Fairmont Trip Computer Lights

I had my auii trip computer screen go intermittent, and had to get is replaced, fortunately under warranty. Being a techo myself I had a look and the problem was in the flex circuit that connect the lcd screen with the rest of the computer.

Dunno if you can get them by themselves, you might try the manufacturer of the trip computer.

Talking about thte climate control. Hint for resetting is to press both buttons at each end of the climate control (not trip computer) at the same time and this resets the little bugger when it decided the outside tempreture if 29degrees C when it is in fact -4 degrees. and vice-versa.
