dcjacko Registered User Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 1	au ford fairmont 1998 series 1 alternator problem hi there everyone, i have a au ford fairmont series 1, i have an alternator problem i think, the charge light comes on for awhile then goes out, my battery never goes flat, could some steer me in the right direction, i have been told to replace the regulator or replace the alternator, if anyone can help or might know where i can get a regulator or alternator please advise, also i have been advise that the series 1 has the motorcraft alternator and series 2 onwards has the mitsubishi one is this correct, please contact me on dcjacko@myway.com regards david
