Hi, my steering wheel radio control buttons are playing up on me, they seem to have a mind of their own and only work when they feel like, also the cruise buttons seem to not work at all(even tho ive only used cruise twice in 3.5 yrs..) is there an easy fix, or has anyone else had this happen? is there a quick solution, fuse etc, to look for or do i just have to get some new ones?
i thought id ask before pulling it all apart..
cheers, phil.

id be getting some noew one tobe honest. but pull them apart first and give the contacts a good clean and see if that works before you start spending money.

Sorry for bringing up old threads, but I'm getting the same problems in my AU Fairmont. First the radio control buttons worked intermittently, then the cruise control buttons didn't work and finally the horn doesn't work anymore.
I'm at work at the moment so I'll have to wait to check the horn fuse (which I reckon is blown - but why?) but also why would the radio controls not work properly even though the cruise worked fine, and why are they connected to the same fuse as the horn?

I've checked the fuses and as far as I can tell, they all seem to be intact. I'll need to check again when there's more light just in case I missed it.
Also my wife tells me that the airbag light has come on this morning too (this was after I was under the dash making sure all the plugs are securely plugged in).
Anyone know what the cause of this is? I still suspect a loose connection somewhere (why else would ALL the controls, buttons, airbags on the steering wheel be out).

None of that mate, replace your clock spring and all will be fixed, thats what was wrong with mine. about $150 from ford.

Thanks for that philstoj. I was hoping that it wouldn't come to that, but I guess I'll have to fork out the money for it (or get one of those stickers that say "Horn not working, watch for finger" instead :)
