AU1XR8 Cruise Control

OK,

I have finally had time to check out why my cruise control stopped working, the little clip that holds the cruise control cable on to the throttle body has broken/fallen off - so the cable just pulls through the throttle linkage.

I rang Ford to get a part number, but of course it is not listed seperately, you have to buy the complete cable assy.

My question is does anyone happen to have one of these they dont need.

Thanks Heaps.

BTW I posted this in the General Tech area as well

Re: AU1XR8 Cruise Control

Just make one out of thin steel, and then glue it in so it doesn't come out.

Well making a bodgy solution would be my last resort - but if you do not get it in the right position first go then ur stuffed - so I think I'll not be using glue.

I prolly just use a couple of small cable ties if i get really desperate.

Thanks neway
