How can I stop it from vibrating? and thus making a VERY annoying vibration noise which completely kills my audio system.

I'm currently using blue tak which helps, but at high volume it's not very helpful. But I only applied it while it was on.

Is it possible to remove the rear view mirror completely then apply the blue tak prooperly all the way inside.


Or is there another thing I can use which will do a better job?

Yep get a new mirror. Mine started to rattle a bit as well, probally cause i have a 10" sub in a ute. I got mine replaced under waranty but even if your out of warranty they shouldnt be much to buy.

first try and tighten the grub screw , failing that undo the grub screw and cover the craddle in a small piece of felt then slide the mirror back on and do the grub screw up nice and tight
