Went to buy these today (while my sis checked out some XR6T and XR8 Utes) and i was just a bit spun out about what the Spare Parts guy said. Do i need the whole unit (bulb, loom and plastic cover) or can i just buy the outer clear plastic parts and keep my EB2 bulb???
Thanks

I Have a set on my EDXR8. Look the goodsused the original ED holders, they just need some trimming of the rubber so it fits into the AUIII holder, theres a picture of how to do it somewhere on here, do a search tells you all you need know.
Cheers.

I got mine from ozeparts.com.au . All I needed to do was take my old EB covers off, trim some rubber off from around the globe, and slip them on. There was no need to change the globe as the AU indicators come with an amber colouring inside them. I'm not sure if all AU indicators are like this, or not, as I think mine are for an AU Fairmont. Just be carefull when trimming the rubber off from around the globe, I cut my thumb pretty badly when I did mine. lol.
i bought mine from ford spare parts. Just the outside lenses. You will need to buy 2 amber globes aswell. When you put them in simply take out the old clear globes and swap the new amber globes around onto the old looms and fit the clear indicator on. Like everyone said you will need to trim the rubber a bit. AND PLEASE fit them on the right way(its a bit harder).
is it possible to simply waltz into ford, slap some money on the counter, and walk away two au3 repeaters richer? it better be, or that's my monday gone, lol
Yes John you did.
If you do put them on, just make sure you put them on so teh pointey end is at the front, you will have to trim them a little, but they look so much better, as its the way they should go.
I have BA ones on mine, they are slimmer.
Cost me $12 each.
