if its anything like the EF, then its real easy.
loosen the nut under the shifter and it will slowly turn and allow you to undo the shifter itself too.

It's a simple job. The only worry is with the EF T-bar, I don't think it fits straight on. I recall a thread ages ago where someone fitted an EF T-bar to the EA shifter and it didn't quite go on at first. Something else needed to be done in order for it to fit.
The ED handle screws straight on. Believe me, I know from experience
i dont know if the ef one will fit but i know the eb/ed one will
