BA Fairlane ICC into XR

Hello to all,

Does anybody know if it is a straight swap over to put fairlane centre console into an xr? What about climate control, is this just computer controlled or more than that? Thinking it might be nice in the ute.

BA Falcon ICC systems are programmed to work only in the vehicle to which they were fitted at the factory. This applies equally to the ventilation system head unit as much as the audio system components.

The audio head unit is programmed to check with the Body Electronics Module and Powertrain Control Module each time before switching on.

This will help deter thieves from removing the radio in the first place since the audio system will not work in another car.

Sorry

Re: BA Fairlane ICC into XR

yup, what he said. AFAIK there is an XR8 Ute that does have the colour screen, Satnav and (maybe) climate control, i've heard of it on here before, but it was one bugger of a job (requires all new looms etc) and the only reason it was possible was because the owner had 'connections' on the assembly line and was able to get all the bits he needed for it.
