when recarging the cells in a battery, do you put acid or water? could it be a mixture if the both, i,m not sure, any suggestions would greatly appreciated

Batteries are normally 100% acid, the addition of distilled water is only because it is safer to handle.


P.S. I still remember the good old days, when you bought a battery and the sulfuric acid came in its own container for you to add.

You Can Either Put In Distilled Water Or Kettle Water Same Same.
They Both End Up Turnin Into A Chemical Battery, Depends If You Got A Dollar For The Distilled, But Either Way

Car batteries are filled with dilute Sulphuric Acid

They are topped up with water because water is used up during the charging process

Distilled water is used to avoid adding chemicals and minerals to the acid

Kettle water is NOT distilled water...

I Know Its Not Distilled Water But Most Of The Crap Is Gone So If You Need To You Can Use It And It Will Still Work Just The Same, Without Stuffing Your Battery

You can buy special battery fluid with I think it is cadmiium in it from K mart. That' s what I use.
