Last night as 3 people know my battery died in the ass. I had to replace it $120. What I wanted to know is what battery is everyone else running and why.
And to anyone who knows what is good and what isn’t.
And that’s to Steve & Dave for push starting my car (thank god for the T5) and John for watching and getting his car out of the way before I could hit it.
im using a 9 plate 270cca battery atm coz i got it for free... So far its working fine, tho i wouldnt expect it to last 6months. Id use a 12 plate 420cca usually.

Can someone give us a bit of information on what to look out for in regards to batteries (power wise etc)? What price would you usually pay for a crap vs quality one etc?

Im using something with 550CCA.......i like it cos its maintenance free
Best battery i have dealt with was one i made at work. 10cell NiCad, 14volt, 25Ah. I tell you what, that baby when jumpstarting made the starter have a heart attack!
I'm using an Exide Premium battery from Kmart - $100 it cost me. Suitable for EB2, apparently. Didn't really care, it's 550cca as opposed to 470cca which my old one was.
Old one was a Supercharge, i think? Don't remember, but it's still in the boot.
Shit itself completely after 3 months, when I had to jumpstart the car.
New one is good except that I can't use the ea clamp to hold it in place, so it just sits there.
