Whenever i turn the key off the battery light comes on and stays on all the time.
This started after i took the bottom hose off the block to flush the radiator the water emptied over the alternator but when i flushed it i moved the hose away from the radiator.
Ive checked the back of the alternator and there is no water present anywhere.
This is driving me nuts
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, but I think your alternator is cactus. Get an auto sparky to check it out.

If you can find the gauge wire (normally L terminal) pull that wire off and if the light goes out, your alternator is crook. If it stays on, the fault is in the wiring. Get it fixed pronto, as it can sometimes get more expensive the longer you leave it.
