Just a better brand 13 plate is the way to go.

The thing I focus on is the CCA rating - I'd aim for a minimum of about 500.

I get the biggest battery that will fit the tray and still bolt it, and clear the bonnet, so that means the highest CCA possible, at least 13 plates per cell, and best value for dollars well thats your choice.

If you are planning on a big stereo setup in the near future, you may want to look at an optima battery, but they cost a few $$$

goes alright hey

had to take off bracket and bend battery holder, and tie down with packing strap lol.

hey bozza, how much did that battery cost ya?? 720cca sounds bloody good, not sure if i want to stuff around with the battery holder though.

i got it for $90
but thats at cost (or below, im not too sure) price from a mechanic mate.

but it cranks over real fast, and i can listen to music for days straight without having to start it. and after it will start 1st go =)
impressed me. lol

its not too much modding, just gota bend the little side bracket down, the other bracket you can remove and keep.

and then all you need is a packing strap or the like to hold it down. i will show to anyone who wants to see at the vic / heathcote cruize/meet.
