Those dam phone chargers f*ck the actual ciggie lighter contacts.. But before you get a newie just unclip the fascia check it has got power at the plug with a test pencil

Fuse most probably. Owner's manual should show which one.

If it doesn't work you can get a new one for 5 bucks at your local auto store. If your ciggy wire doesn't show 12 volts (ensure your ignition accessories are turned on), then just wire your cig lighter into your stereo 12v line.

Is this for the AU?

Just had to put a new one in the XD last week......why??.....to use the G-tech!! Giddyup.

There is often a fuse located just behind the lighter.. Or could be corrosion.. or bent contacts from the phone charger...

i too have the same problem, all the ciggie lighters arent working, the one in the dash kinda works it is able to heat up the lighter so i presume theres power but when i plug something like a phone charger in it wont power it on, the ones in the back doors dont work at all? is it hard to take out the lighter in an EA fairmont from the dash? do u need to take apart the whole dash just to get to it?
