peoples.....i have just bought a 1984 sigma(eeeewww) while the LTD is getting a suspension job(doing it myself, may be finished 2094) and the shit wont start. tried everything. new plugs, timing, battery. coil, starter motor.... it cranks over fine and theres fuel. but as soon as it fires it dies.....anybody ever had any trouble with these things? could it be ignition module before i go fork out $90 for a new one?

does it actually start, when the key is in the start position?
you can try running a wire from the battery to the positive side of the coil to eliminate a faulty ignition switch or ballast resistor.

nah doesnt start at all. just keeps cranking. ill try the wire thingy tommorrow. but ive found out the module's the same as teh vc commodore. guess ill save 20 30$ using one of those. god i hate cars.....................
