Hello all,
So I have a 4 door 2000 Contour with a front passenger window that will go down but not up. It will go down and not up from both the passenger switch and the driver's master switch. I replaced the driver's switch to no avail. And swapping the passenger switch with one from the rear didn't help either. I am able to get the window back up by using some jumper cables, so I know it's not a motor isssue. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks for your help.

I suppose I'll check if there might be a bad wire in the harness in that door. Please let me know if anyone has any other thoughts. Thanks.

Okay, I'm stumped. There is power to the harness at the window. I can get the window up and down by jumpering the harness itself. Sounds like the switch right? But I swapped the switch with the other two from the back (same serial number and everything)...and still down but no up. Any thoughts? (short of teaching my girlfriend how to jumper the harness)

The drivers switch has to be programed new. For the Ford-service it will not be a great issue.
