Make sure the brake switch is adjusted properly. If the cruise turns on but wont set a speed it maybe that the switch is too far back and it thinking the brake it always on. Did you wire the clutch switch in? Is the Vac line for the switch hooked up?

The computer wont affect the cruise control as its basically a standalone unit. Id heck these things first.

When I converted my car to manual the same thing happened, I had to reach under the dah and twist the switch and push it in further to set it up properly (all while driving on the geelong road). It was surprising how far in they need to be.

Let us know how it goes

I hope you got a switch for the clutch! My ED was converted from auto to manual & still has no switch on the clutch. I don't forget about it these days but there was a couple of interesting moments out on the highway early on when I went to change back from 5th to 4th..........

haha RPM happy was it? its simple to fix your problem Jase, but you may not have the bracket for the cllutch switches on your pedel box. There are some pedel boxes tht have the bracket welded on and some with a brass fitting thats bolted on. I used parts from 2 pedel boxes to make mine up since it was an auto pedel box.

When I converted my EA Fairmont Ghia to Manual I had problems with Cruise control it was the brake sensor not aligned proplerly. Remember the switch has to be in when the brake pedal is off.

My Pedal box came from a Falcon GL I bought just for T5 the pedal box has mounts for both cluch sensor (for ECU) and cruise contol switch even thou I have been to lazy to fit the Cruise control sensor.

I believe the input from the clutch switch vent valve on a manual is shorted at the vent valve plug on an Auto.

The GREEN/RED wire should be shorted to the BLUE/BLACK wire. Connect the clutch switch here in place of the short.

Everything else I can find in the wiring diagram (from Ford Factory EA-ED service manual) appears to be common between the auto and manual.

Another question, does your horn work (the one that toots in the car, not the one that may need Viagra)?? The cruise buttons on the wheel are supplied through the horn relay coil. If the relay was out of place or fuse blown the cruise wont work (I think).

i get my car back tuesday so i'll have a look at it again. I'll have my new LSD centre, new uni's, 3.45 gear ratio's and a 28 spline axle, YaY! then its my engine so i can bolt my turbo on.
Progress is slow for now...
