Re: dash

Personally I reckon they're a bit ricey, but...
Could hang them on the steering column under the cover, and on the other side, behind the glove box, on the bottom of the heater box there.

Or, replace the interior lights with neons?

Re: dash

When I had my XF, I mounted some neons under the front seats, and wired them up so that they only came on when the doors were open.

Re: dash

i was gonna put neons in place of the standard yellow globes, and hook up neon rods underneath but then found you cant fit them, i was thinking of making slightly raised polished alluminium floor mats with ford cut out on them and puting the rod behind that but that was gonna take too long to make, plus with my craft skills it would look dodgy. under the front seats further to the front not the back would still light up the foot well, but not heaps. it really depends if you want them visible or not. having a look under the passenger side it wouldnt be too hard to hide it just the illumination wouldnt be so great, but the drivers side looking at it quickly would be a major head ache. what ever you decide to do i wouldnt mind seeing pics when there off and on. hope some of this was helpful.

Re: dash

i have blue neons under the centre console on each side. they are wired up so they turn on when the parkers/headlights are on. i think they look pretty good. not too bright since they are covered, just blue light shines down out of the sides of the centre console.

Re: dash

Zip ties come in handy!!

I have neons inside my ef. Two up front underneath the dash (both kinda zip tied to wiring harnesses, and two underneath the front seats but towards the rear. Looks pretty good I reckon.

I used to have the two rear ones on the parcel shelf, but it attracted the attention of the local constabulary (not good).

Have fun.

Re: dash

I had one under the steering column which was prone to breaking due to my incredibly long legs so i tied it to a wiring loom, i had one in the footwell of the passenger side, on under the back of each seat so the back got some glow and one adhesed to the underside of the rear aircon duct area. all hooked to a sound sensing module. on the exterior i had full surround undercar neons which put out a really illuminous glow. both were wired to 2 switches which i had on the edge of the trimming next to my left leg in easy access. i would probably put a different colour neon back on after the body kit goes on this weekend. I didnt think it was that ricey, it adds to the character of a car which after all what we try to customize...

Re: dash

seen an r32 with a huge neno light that went on when ever he put his brakes on, it was hidden under the rear bumper and lit up the ground and the exhaust, looked good but i dont want anything on the exterior side of things for my car.
