does anyone know if the tacho and speedo setup is vacuum sealed as i would like to paint my tacho and speedo needles silver instead of the crappy orange ones in my EB xr6. Also i would like to replace my amber side indicators with AU 2 clear indicators. is this as easy as removing and replacing the amber ones. i have seen it done on an ED fairmont but im not sure if they fit straight in. any help would be good thanks.,

Unsure if the AU2 indicators will fit an EB - still I recall this has been covered a few times so do a search on it mate =]

The instrument cluster is not vacuum sealed, so it wont self destruct when you open it up

Be careful when you do the needles. My friend went through 3 sets when painting his. I am getting Emtech to replace my dials and paint needles. Also changing the LCD color to blue
Amber colored indicators rule. Clear sucks.
May even change the brake light color to blue.

Yeah, Be careful if you are going to paint the Needles, as they are translucent, IE they light up when the Instrument Cluster Lights are on.

Painting them might mean that the Needles may nolonger Illuminate at Night Time, making the Dash very difficult to read.

The emtech stuff looks awsome, but is a little expensive IMO.

Also, someone here (cant remember who) fitted an EF Instrument clusterm to an ED.
(Had to do some major wiring work to get the connectors to work apparently).
Anyhow, with the EF Clusters, you can always try the Following
Blue LED Illumination

there made of steel and painted!
