Hello everyone,

First time post, looks like a good group. Just bought a 2000 Ford Focus. Only came with one key so I have duplicates made THEN I find out it has this security key system. Is there any way to defeat this? I'm good with electrical so if someone can tell me "which wire in which harness plug" to jump or remove, I can take it from there.

Go see FORD for real keys, if you really do OWN the car, I am sure they will happily make you keys, although they will charge for it like a wounded bull no doubt.

We do not really tell people how to hot wire any car in these forums, which is esentially what you are asking, and after only 1 post, well all sounds suss to me.

Welcome to the forums, but yes they have to supply you 2 keys unless otherwise stated IMO
