Question Digital clock resets and occasionally fades in XF Ghia dash

G'day guys,

Just wondering whether any1 got any suggestions as to why my digital clock keeps resetting itself to 1:00 and fades everynow and then? Quick fix? I saw blueoalxfboy had the same problem.

Cheers

Re: Digital clock resets and occasionally fades in XF Ghia dash

My XF ghia did that too...it happened occasionally when i pressed the brakes...the clock display would go out and when i let go of the brake pedal it came back saying 1:00...

Its a common problem on the XF Ghias...although i never found a fix for it before the car left me...

Hope this Helps..

nope - mine just started working again by itself. although i did take it out and clean up the plugs in the back..maybe that did it - anyways, it works fine now. blueoval, you still want that box?

This happened on my old 85' S pack. Twice!

First my brother fixed it and said it was a bad relay, and the second time I ended up replacing one fo the balde fuses behind the switch panel. I think it was a red 10 amp fuse from memory.

hey guys mine works again my problem was the wires in the back i think it was is a bad conection or maybe a broken wire but i moved them around until they were in a place that the clock worked properly and i taped the wires in that position and now it works doesn't fade, keeps time
