RangerRick Registered User Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 1	:doh: Horn only works with ignition off! My 2001 Ford Ranger horn works perfectly when the ignition is turned off. When I turn on the ignition switch and/or start the vehicle, the horn makes a muffled/soft sound which is barely audible. Also I have an airbag light error code 27 and the passenger airbag dissable (PAD) indicator light next to the switch which turns the passenenger airbag on/off is burned out. I don't have cruise control or a keyless entry. I've seen the posts about the clockwork mechanism being bad but I guess my horn wouldn't work at all if that part was the problem. Any suggestions?
