hey, i need someone to help me with this pain of an issue...
when ever i crank the bass in my eb falcon...the boot starts to rattle...i know the problem, its the frame of the boot vibrating against the boot lid..if that make sense, can someone suggest something to solve this for me?
Without wanting to state the obvious, how about trying to think of something to put between the frame and the skin to stop the rattle?
Foam, silastic, fabric, rubber, all kinds of things can be used, the rattle is the noise made by 2 hard surfaces vibrating against each other. Either that or you could investigate welding or joining the skin to the frame so it doesn't rattle any more.
Or get rid of da subz and hav a normul staireo like uvva normul peepul.
get a tube of urethane and run it along where the boot frame and the boot lid meet
this is the number 1 cause of boot rattle.
another thing that rattles is the numberplate, on mine i put that double sided trim tape on there to hold the plate, no screws
The garnish gives me the shits!!! Thats what gets me mostly, just put the system in so not too fussed about this as of yet, no time either.... sounds good on the inside though thats all i worry about....

try to secure the number plate with 4 screws as most cars only have 2 in my lasers case i put electrical tape behnd the boot lid and the number plate as the car didn't have any holes for the other 2 screws and that works
i got 240W speakers in the parcel shelf of my car and it rattles like crazy to i keep saying im gonna fix it but forget about it
but back to the point id prolly put silicone around all the edges on the top of the boot lid and also make sure there aint a cable in the frame making the sound by virating in there
