Re: Eb Ghia Interior Fan Stays On. Help!!!!
The fan speed controller (silver cast metal box behind the glove box toward the centre at level of bottom of glove box.) sits in the air inlet on the firewall to cool the transistor that sit in the heatsink on the rear. When leaves and moisture get into this inlet (as always happens) the transistor case get corroded. This usually results in the fan always running on high but if left long enough might create a short. In any event I would start by pulling the fan speed controller and checking for corrosion (watch out for the "hidden" screw). The transistor is not expensive or hard to replace and is available from Worldwide Electronics.
