does anyone know the cheapest and best mods. to perform on an EB?

There is only one real cheap mod and its an auto mod, check out mechanical forums, 9psi eb it his website, cost you about $10 for the module to make and it will get your auto sideways in the wet.

The cheepest preformance Mods would have to be Cold air Intake (about $150 - $300), Extractors and exhaust ($700+ dedpending on type).

Seriously though, absolubtely THE single most effective mod short of a blower is a manual box.
Failing that, try a few wreckers for s/h extractors etc, you can usually pick up some good ones cheap - around the $300-500 mark for a full system...
EF intake is another good one, even if you don't use the BBM function.

there are heaps of threads about this type of thing..

but most of em say.. Exhaust, Air intake, Cam, Manual, MPFI (if not already), Then you start getting into money country - Turbo or charger

Either go to herrods and check out some of their stuff, or Mocks -DEV kits

Couple of ideas, Ipicked up my s/h extractors and sports exhaust at the wreckers for $160 and installed it myself. If your car is a EB GL maybe a falcon S computer, don't know how much it cost or the benefits cos haven't tried it.

Oh yeah I didn't read that :)

A manual for an 8 is rare as rockinghorse shit mate, that'll set you back a fair few $$$.
Other than that, intake manifold and extractors/exhaust I'd suggest, but am not a v8 expert
