OK. I finally got around to checking the adjuster thingo.
Well the bolt was loose so okay, I grabbed a spanner and gave it a turn and bang the damn bolt sheared right off!!!
So now I can't put the adjuster back on and the seat is stuck at the highest spot and when I put it down again it just goes right back again.
And whenever i go over a bump the whole seat slides down!
Any suggestions??? Any one got an idead for a quick fix to make the seat stay down?
Its really annoying with the seat that damn high.

Couple of hose clamps around the frame in the right spot maybe ??

LOL i had the same prob...go over speed bump or stomp on the accelerator and seat go flying back. you broke the bolt? im pretty sure you can get one off ford. the parts for the seat isnt very expensive.

i have exactly the same problem in my ed, i put the seat lower and when i go over bumps i am moving all over the place, then when i get out of the car the seat springs right back up again...

real pain to deal with, not to mention unsafe.

any solutions?
