G'Day all. Being a lazy bastard I was wondering if there is an easy way of going about this.
Got an ED where the shaft for the freshair/recirculated air flap on the left side of the heater box has sheared (although the actuator works ok with the selections). Bummer. So the flap hangs in the fresh position. Is it possible to get that section of the heater box out under the dash (it looks like it bolts onto the main heater box, and I haven't tried it yet) without removing the entire dash? Cos that job would really suck!
To put it bluntly, NOPE!! It's not really that hard to pull the dash back far enough to be able to get the recirc vent out. Either that or just jam a chunk of cardboard against the flap so it stays in the fresh position (or recirc if you wanna recycle your farts!!)
Bugger, thought that would be the answer. Oh well, being summer, I'd better help the aircon out and jam it in recirc.....and keep away from the curry and beans! At least until I get off my arse to dismantle the lot. Thanks for the advice!
