Hey guys.

My uncle has just written off his EBII Fairmont ghia, and i was contemplating fitting the trip computer and possibly also the climate control to my ED GLi

I took out the plastic plug thingy that sits where the trip computer goes, and it appears as tho the wiring harness is there?
Is this actually wired up, is it just a case of plugging it in etc

And what about the climate control ?

Any help would be appreciated before i actually undertake the task!

Do yourself a favour and grab his whole wiring harness from the dash and engine bay and the whole dash. The Climate Control has sensors and bits everywhere that you will need (ie sunload sensor on top of dash, ambient temp sensor in front of radiator, internal temp sniffer fan).

What about the trip computer though ?

i really want to monitor fuel consumption .. seeing as i get paid per km when doing work ks.

Is the wiring harness already there connected ?

Hey man, that connector is only for the clock as the Gli and Fairmonts had a different loom. U need to add extra wires. (fuel guage, speedo, and ECU) there have been heaps of threads on this topic... search for one.. its been explained how to do it!

its for EF/EL's though the actual wiring should be pretty similar. At least it will give you an idea of the work you want to do.
