Does anyone know if the interior lights on ED XR6 should dim slowly when you close the doors, like on a fairmont for example.
If so, where is the module for this. In my XE it was under the ashtray but i have no idea on the ED

They dont self dim, when you close the door, the lights go off.
You can do a modification to make it dim.

The module that controls it is located under the handbrake, and to the left. I don't actually know how you go about removing it however.
I know people have upgraded though, so it is possible.

In an ED the module under the handbrake is the Smartlock module.

Ahhh.... in EA-EB1 it's the central controller. I dunno where it is in ED.

To put another view on this, i dont know where the controller is, but if you have a basoc knowledge of circuits, if you put a capacitor into the circuit with the right amount of Farads, you'll get the desired effect of fading.

Lol... i think actually Dick Smith make a kit that can do that for you.
But I can't think of any reason of the top of my head why a hi-series bem wouldn't go into a mid-series. I'm sure someone on here has done it before.
